It’s Okay to Take a Nap!
Being supermom (or superdad) does not mean “go go go”. After all, how can you teach your children to discover and respect themselves if you don’t show them how it’s done?
The most effective guidance comes from “show” more than “tell”. So if you feel exhausted, be kind to yourself. The mess can wait. The social obligations can wait just a little longer. You are your child’s guiding light and it’s important that you maintain the strength to be there for them. More important than a clean house. So take a moment to recharge and give yourself the freedom to nap.
Respect yourself first. It’s how they will learn to do the same.
